@ss213 Sorry for the late reply. I've actually ported the nes theme over to my snes mini theme and that supports a 4:3 mode in the config file. More info here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12583/snes-mini-theme/708

At the moment I'm learning some C++ stuff by messing around with the Emulationstation source code :-D

@itsnitro I think you can use just about any image format, but you can definitely use png.
